St. Francis Grad: Nathan

Nathan is a grad who will go on to do exceptional things. A multi-sport athlete, a future med-student, and a great sense of style all made this one of my easiest sessions ever. We had a blast on a sunny autumn day capturing Nathan amid the crisp leaves, vivid fall colors and yes, several roaming pets. Although none are showcased on the images below, throughout his session, there were several dogs and cats that so wanted to be portrayed within his portraits. Lucky for me, Nate and his mom were animal lovers and were laughing right along with me as we attempted to avoid them.

Here are some highlights. What an outstanding grad!

2012 Princeton Grad: Trista

Trista's session was fun and eventful. She was up for pretty much anything and ready to flash that radiant smile throughout the entire two hours. During our time together, we ventured through fields, spider webs, dog poop (yes, I said it!), and even endured a bit of rain, wind and very cold temps. Through it all, she was amazing!

Although there are way too many favorites to count, here are some highlights:

Otsego Family Session: The Salchert Family!

Jessie was always someone I respected. We went to high school together and I always observed someone who was incredibly smart, respectful, driven, outgoing and kind. Although it had been years since seeing one another, when she contacted me to book a session, I was just thrilled.
Last month we met at Otsego Park for a fun-filled family session! This being their first professional photography experience as a family of five, they were so excited to capture ANYTHING of their on-the-go children.

It's fun to see Jessie- nearly 10 years later- and know that I observed all those same qualities and then some! What an excellent mama she is to these beautiful children!

Here are some favorites:

Thank you, Salcherts, for allowing me in to your lives so that I can help you cherish these moments through photography....

Princeton Grad: Jordon

Kind, quiet, and laid-back are some of the words that came to mind when I got to know Jordon. I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph him last month on a beautiful autumn night. We headed to Rogers to capture this important time in Jordon's life surrounded by trees, rustic barns, railroad tracks and a field illuminated only by the sunset. His wonderfully energetic puppy joined as as well and added to the significance of these images for Jordon.

Here are some highlights:

Maple Grove Family Session: Shannon, Robert & Kevin

Kevin was everything you'd expect a newborn to be: unpredictable and adorable. He wanted to be held, loved his nuk and couldn't have been any cuter. What a joy it was to photograph him in his first weeks of life! Our session last month was breezy but beautiful and so fun. I had the honor of photographing Shannon & Robert this summer for their Maternity sesssion. You can view a few of those images here. We decided to stick with the same location this fall and the results of their little guy were great! Here are a few favorites:

Families like this are the reason why I do what I do and why I love it. To watch them go from a couple to a sweet family is just beautiful!

Thank you Shannon, Robert and sweet baby Kevin for allowing me in to your lives and giving me the honor of photographing these significant moments in your lives!

McGregor Engagement Session: Lacey & Joshua

They traveled all the way from McGregor, Minnesota. Josh put the metal to the petal and they made it in less than two hours. They wanted a backdrop that would reflect who they are and so I made sure they had rustic barns, fields, fall colors and beautiful trees surrounding them. I learned very quickly that this couple is a match made in heaven. They compliment one another perfectly and just adore eachother.... it was such a blast photographing their love!

Because they are also having an October wedding, I was so excited to incorperate a pumpkin for their session. Those images ended up being some of my FAVORITES!

Here are highlights....

LOVE this one...so sweet!

I couldn't resist putting together an Artistic Piece with their pumpkin pictures!
