Isaiah has, for the most part, been an amazing big brother. It melts my heart to see him kiss his baby brother sweetly each day.
I have so enjoyed my boys and am thankful for the blessing and gift they are. I have also learned a few lessons. One of the most significant is that as an entrepreneur, there is no such thing as a true 'maternity leave'. I had envisioned not working at all for a month or two. But found myself meeting with and booking six weddings, being a featured vendor at a wedding expo, answering about 250 e-mails and voicemails, speaking at a few schools and even photographing a couple sessions, all within the first 6 weeks of my sweet Noah's life. Thankfully, I LOVE what I do, so it was good- but certainly different than what I had planned. (Side-note: Ironically, as I type these words, my two year old is at my office door yelling, "mama done work!") Oh the joys of continuously learning the art of balancing motherhood and work.
These next few weeks look to bring more excitement for KWP. This includes:
-Many engagement sessions!
-A grad session!
-A speaking engagement!
-A few family sessions!
-Another edition of the KWP newsletter!
-Teaching my first Photography Workshop!
Thankfully, things don't really pick up until the 'busy' season begins in May. Until then, I am enjoying the boys, adjusting to being a mom of two and planning a lot of fun ideas for my 2013 wedding, engagement, family and grad clients!
Thank you for walking this journey with me. You're not just clients, but friends whom I am honored to know.
Kate
