A Lovely Lakeside Wedding: Ashley & Jason

The sun was shining, with not a cloud in the sky and the breeze was soft.  It was the ideal July morning as I drove up to the gorgeous lake.  The waters were sparking like diamonds and the grounds of the luxurious lake homes and beach houses were immaculately prepared.  Dozens of rows of pristine white chairs were quietly awaiting their guests and vibrant floral arrangements were perfectly placed. I knew this day would be stunning from beginning to end.  

Ashley was calm, all smiles and happy as I greeted her.  Later, as they prepared for their First Look, Jason was nearly bursting with excitement and the anticipation of seeing his beautiful bride.  Happy tears and joyful smiles were abundant throughout the course of the day. 

Their Wedding Party was by far the most energetic group I have ever encountered- and there was no shortage of personality from either the groomsmen or the bridesmaids.  The vibrant purples, and bold greens complimented the Brainerd area beach ceremony.  Later, The Grand View Lodge created a memorable reception. 

What struck me even more than the incredible details, and wonderful locations was the love between Ashley and Jason.  Each time they embraced it was clear that they are one another’s strength.  They lean on one another in every facet of life and bring fullness to each day.  They balance each other so beautifully.  What an honor it was to photograph their day- taking in each and every moment and helping them relive it for what I am sure will be decades of wedded bliss for this sweet couple!
