Many people reading this who may not know this couple may think it strange to have the word "crazy" in a title for a beautiful wedding day such as this. But for those of you who know this wonderful couple, it probably seems like the perfect description. These two are awesome. They are fun, real, down-to-earth, happy, and bold people. They are people who know how to throw an incredible party for those they love most- and they are a couple who takes life by the horns and enjoys every moment of it with zeal and smiles!
August 23rd started off with soft rain, grey skies and cool temperatures. As I arrived at Willert Farm, I took in the gorgeous land- and a ceremony site nestled in between rolling hills of grass and a flowing river. The details that Meghan put together were nothing short of spectacular and enhanced the country theme beautifully. Hay bails, sunflowers, burlap, lace and mason jars were a few of my favorite things. The wooden arch that was the glorious centerpiece of their ceremony was stunning and unlike anything I had seen- similar to the love between Meghan and Dave. Their love is authentic, and their personalties compliment one another so well. They have been together for many years and it shows in the way they talk, move, and love one another. Their wedding party made me laugh and knew how to enjoy the day to the upmost- creating a fun and crazy atmosphere throughout the reception. But perhaps the most unforgettable moment was during the couple's first dance as husband and wife. Meghan and Dave were dancing slowly, sweetly and calmly when the music suddenly changed and they broke it down and busted out in the best dance I have seen in a long time. Everyone, (including me) was surprised and laughing. But then again, were we all really surprised? Meghan and Dave have a way for leaving a lasting impression on you and for creating moments that will not soon be forgotten- and they did just that time and time again during their wedding.
