A Classy Crown Room Wedding: Lindsay & Michael

You plan your wedding down to the smallest detail.  The color scheme, the flowers, the invites- all of it is put together with careful attention to the most specific aspects.  And yet, sometimes the most beautiful parts are those unplanned moments.  Such was the case for Lindsay & Michael's wedding.

June 15th was incredible.  The bold plum color, the gorgeous flowers, the adorable couple- all of it came together perfectly.  And then there was the rain.  It rained, then stopped, rained again, then the sun peeked just for a moment before nestling back into the clouds. Then, it thundered, and poured- a torrential downpour that you wouldn't want to drive in, much less walk in your wedding dress... and yet, Lindsay and Michael kept their cool, smiled all the way through and we just worked with the weather.

It rained throughout their ceremony, and then something amazing happened.  Just as they were announced husband and wife and walked back down the aisle as one, the sun came out in all its glory!  As if that wasn't enough, the song they had selected months prior came on- and it was none other than "Here Comes the Sun"....

These high school sweethearts have been together for a long time- they know each other through and through and have a deep love and respect for one another.  I was honored to be a part of their day and capture all the planned and unplanned moments as they happened.  Here is a peek into their magnificent day:

Class of 2014: Carly

Some people are so natural in front of the camera. Their smile, their eyes, and just the ability to shine!  Carly is all this and more.  She would be the last to say it, but she was so incredibly photogenic during her session.

I loved her sense of style- scarves, hats, dresses, all these things go perfectly with a beautiful smile!  Carly and I had a blast as we navigated through Elk River... capturing her within the downtown 'urban' area, next to beautiful blooming trees and on the pristine beach and docks! It was such a fun session and I am happy to share a few of the images below!
