Princeton Grad: Jillian

She was excited and maybe a little nervous the day of her session. She showed up early and was ready to get started.

I knew Jillian from photographing sports teams the last few years at PHS. I knew she was a beautiful blonde with a sweet personality.

We spent her session going to several fun and unique locations- all of which brought out different attributes of what makes her Jillian. Some images were more dramatic and serious in nature. Many were light-hearted and fun- because that really is Jillian in a few words.

Here are a few of my favorites from her session a couple weeks ago:

Events: The Crown Room Presents....

Last night I was honored to be a part of an amazing event held at The Crown Room in Rogers. Stunning views, and a rustic elegance seep from every inch of this venue. If you are getting married in the next year or two, check them out!
Recently, I was asked to be a part of their "preferred vendors" list and have joined a wonderful group of accomplished businesses in the wedding industry. As a handful of us gathered last night to put on a small event for a dozen or so couples, I felt excited for this partnership and for the months and years to come in this incredible job.

It was a blast getting to see what the trends are for weddings in right now. Here are a few images documenting the event last night:

The above was created by: Advant Decor, Bloom by Design, Linen Effects, and Adam Welz did the beautiful uplighting!

Zimmerman Grad: Corey

Corey is the epitome of everything good in a young man. He is kind, thoughtful, athletic, outgoing and intelligent. He is everything I hope my one year old son will be someday.

His session was one of my favorites to date. He came with things that represent him: a basketball, uniform, letter jacket, and air jordan shoes! His collection of shoes has to be one of my favorite items ever included in a grad portrait session; they were something totally unique to Corey.

As we ended the session and I said good-bye, I gave him and his mom a hug; it felt like we had known one another for years. I remember thinking how blessed I am to have had my path cross theirs.

Yesterday, I was able to give Corey his finished prints, art pieces and proof book. He was so genuinely excited and happy with them and that made me again think how much I adore him and his mom and that people like them are the reason I love what I do.

Here are a few highlight from his session:

Check out those shoes.

Zimmerman Family: Anthony+Gina+Davis+Gianni

I had met them before and loved them instantly. Easy to talk to, down to earth, and incredibly beautiful, I knew this would be fun. But this family completely rocked it during their session earlier this month.

Davis & Gianni are adorable AND well-behaved- they couldn't have been any more fun to photograph! They laughed, and hammed it up so much that I simply didn't want our time to come to an end.

Lucky for me, after Gina booked with me we discovered we live just blocks away from one another, so I will be seeing this wonderful couple and their handsome little guys around.

Becker Family: The Tillmann's +

When Kary called me to schedule this session, I was touched. She wanted to surprise her best friend with pictures of their kids together. Almost like siblings, these kids have grown side-by-side and experienced so much of life together.

I was also moved by Kary's continuous support. Since the very first month I took a risk and started my own business, she has had her children and her family photographed... she will never know how much it means to me.

So... HERE IS A LOOK INTO the latest shoot... with the Tillmann kids and their bonus siblings! The entire session was hilarious. Anytime you get 5 kids together, this is inevitable. Here are some of the highlights:

I'll end with my favorite... a little more candid.. and realistic! :)

Owatonna Family: The Leer's

The new baby smell. The quiet "coos" of a new little one. The radiant smile from a joyful new mom. These are some of life's greatest gifts and these are moments I was able to capture through the art of photography when the Leer's drove all the way up from Owatonna for family portraits.

Brooks was everything I knew he would be: sweet, adorable, and such a good sport during the entire session. I was even more thankful for this family given their willingness to drive for pictures they will treasure for a lifetime. Here are some of my favorites:

Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of this beautiful time in your lives! Cannot wait to watch Brooks grow in the months and years to come!
