Class of 2013: Thomas

I loved photographing Thomas.  I have seen him for the last 4 years as I have photographed his various sports teams and involvements at PHS and was always impressed with his some quiet but always mature and kind demeanor.  But what I didn't know is how truly great he is in front of the camera!  Sports snapshots don't showcase the subjects personality like grad portraits and this was a blast!  Thomas had a great, natural smile and yet could pull off the serious-look with such ease as well!  Here are a few favorites from our session last month!

A Sweet & Sophisticated Wedding: Christine & Dan

She is sweet, stunningly beautiful with impeccable style and is always laughing.  He is incredibly kind, handsome with a constant and genuine smile.  Together, they are perfect.  Together, they are whole.  Their day was nearly flawless and their love was apparent and moving.  Christine and Dan have eyes for one each other and yet manage to be so aware of others needs at the same time.  Their's is a love that will last and a love that was a joy to capture through my lens.  Here are a few highlights of their big day!

Class of 2013: Ashley

It was the perfect evening for this session.  Cool, breezy and beautiful.  A rain had just passed, leaving everything looking magical.  The light was vibrant and the subjects majestic.  Ashley was phenomonal to work with; easy going, beautiful and fun! A photographer really can't ask for anything more.  But I got even more.  I was given 'assistants' to help carry my chairs and bags.  I was able to experience the joy of both her parents as they witnessed us photograph the beauty that is Ashley and her horse, Rojo.  It was the perfect evening. Here are just a couple highlights:

Princeton Family Photographer: Lucas and Charlie!

As a photographer, you have to be ready for everything and anything with a children's session.  As a mom, I know to be prepared for the good and the more adventurous.  Lucas and Charlie were pretty much amazing though.  Lucas is every bit a big brother to his adorable two year old sister.  He was also a great assistant to me in getting her to smile and even carrying a prop or two!  He loved the camera and  was ready to flash his smile throughout the entire session.  True to her age, Charlie was shy at first and then gradually came out of her shell to showcase her spunky and fun personality!  Together, these two are perfect- the images we captured are 100% them and classic.  What a joy it is to do what I do!

A Gorgeous Garden Wedding: Katie & Cody

Serene.  Beautiful.  Natural.  Katie and Cody’s wedding was this and much more.  It was one of the most gorgeous settings I have ever seen a wedding take place.  The breeze was soft and the sky a vibrant blue.  The luxurious gardens that surround the Berwood Hill Inn in Lanesboro, Minnesota were stunning and created the ideal backdrop for an elegant country wedding.  The reception venue on the grounds was beautifully rustic and added to the atmosphere of the day in every way.  And yet, Katie and Cody’s sweet love for one another made the gardens that much more romantic, the summer colors that much more bold and the rustic charm that much more charming. 

Katie was an incredibly calm bride.  Prepared after months of planning, she knew everything was in its place and this was the day she would become the wife to the man of her dreams.  Cody was quiet, but beneath the exterior was a man clearly in love and excited for this day.  They lit up when together, they couldn’t help but hold hands with every chance they got and they seemed to float effortlessly through their day. 

Their images showcase the best about their perfect wedding.  The authenticity of their relationship, the genuine people they are and the breathtakingly beautiful surroundings they selected all made for a fairytale day!  Here are a few highlights that tell a bit of their story-book love.
