Wonderful Winter Wonderland Family Session: The Kennedy Family!

     This family is so near and dear to my heart!  Not only are the wonderful friends, but I had the privilege of photographing their engagement and wedding pictures! In addition to all that, they are also incredibly talented wedding videographers, (check out their website HERE).  It had been a few years since I had them in front of my camera and I honestly forgot just how fun and easy they are to photograph!  Since our last session, they've become parents and added sweet, sweet little James!  He did not disappoint!  With those bright eyes, blond hair and rosy little cheeks, I didn't want to stop photographing him!  

     Prior to their session, it had been sleeting, freezing and extremely windy. However, just as we stepped out onto the picturesque tree farm, the wind calmed and the sleet turned into an elegant snowfall.  Between their perfect pea coats, incredible knit hats, mistletoe and coffee cups, I was in photographer-heaven.  At times, this session looked like it was right out of the scene of a christmas movie! Forest Fun: A Fabulous Maternity Mini Session!

    When I first heard this wonderful couple was expecting their first child, I was beyond thrilled!  Almost immediately, I kept thinking of how beautiful Danielle would look with a little baby bump.  Imagine my excitement when I got the e-mail that they wanted to schedule a maternity session!  Last fall, I had the honor and joy of photographing what is one of my favorite weddings to date. (Check that out HERE.) Between their engagement session earlier in 2013 and their wedding- I have such a love for these two and the way they interact. It is beautiful; it is wonderful and I LOVE that their family is going to grow.  They included their amazing Dog, Colby, in the session and I am pretty sure that a magical tree farm was his idea of heaven that day.  

Danielle was just as beautiful as I expected and these THREE, along with their furry friend, endured an incredibly-cold wind as we sought to document this significant season for them.  I cannot wait to meet (and photograph!) their little bundle in just a few weeks!  Here is a look at their session:

A Gorgeous Guthrie Family Session: The Brauns!

   Whenever I see this family it is like a wonderful reunion!  I love catching up with Shannon & Robert and watching Kevin grow from a newborn to a baby to a toddler and now,  a little boy!  I was giddy with excitement to meet sweet Dustin for the first time.  Both of these boys are adorable, have the brightest blue eyes and are busy as can be!  We navigated the Guthrie Theatre and the Mill City area with smiles and great-grandma's sled- all the while capturing this beautiful family in all their glory!  Here is a peek into our session:

Evergreens & Eskimo Kisses: A Sweet Family Session!

I hugged her when I greeted her- which may have seemed strange when meeting someone for the first  time- but when she said that they're a family of 'huggers' too and hugged me right back, I knew we were going to have a great time.  I couldn't have been more right!  

This family of five is not only beautiful, they are sweet and adorable and kind too!  Their three kids did an incredible job as we explored the Christmas Tree Farm with red chair, vintage sled, blankets a so much love!  Their outfits looked like they had stepped right out of a J Crew catalog and their smiles radiated happiness and joy- a true reflection of their hearts. It is families like this that make me ADORE my job- the connections made and the memories captured are the things I love and that make me passionate about photography.
