A Happy Hendrickson Family Mini-Session

I have had the honor of photographing someone in the Hendrickson family two times prior to Saturday's session- and I loved it. While the senior pictures for the two youngest daughters were amazing and fun, nothing compared to the absolute blast these five are when you get them all together.  They are hilarious, full of laughter and one-liners, and they have the best family dynamic.  We enjoyed the perfect fall weather and captured a little of what makes this family so wonderful!

A Rustic Barn, Trucks & Big Announcement Session: The Mapes Family

As the mom of two little boys, photographing boys is a favorite. Maybe it's because I feel like I am at home, or maybe just because they are so endearing, full of life and laughter.  Tyler was no exception; he was curious, sweet, talkative and excited about anything related to trucks and cars!  I loved getting to know him and his parents during our session earlier this month.  The rustic barn setting proved to the the perfect place to photograph this on-the-go little guy and his adoring parents.  To add to this already special session, we were able to incorporate some fun props to announce that Tyler will be a big brother in 2015!  Here is a look at our session!

Class of 2015: Jesse

I was praying the entire hour-long car ride. It had been raining and windy for the past 24 hours and was supposed to let up- but if the ominous clouds and my wet windshield were any indication, it wasn't going to.  When Jesse and I arrived at Mill City, we stepped out of the car with wide-eyes, realizing just how windy it was. Windy really isn't a good description- full, gale-force winds might be more accurate.  The usually packed Mill City area was desolate- showing just how brave (and silly?) we were for venturing out in this for a two hour session.

Thankfully, Jesse is tough. As an athlete, with gorgeous locks, a radiant smile and contagious laugh, she didn't complain.  Instead, we giggled our way through crazy weather, misting rain, balloons that threatened to take her off the ground and confetti that made this one of my favorite sessions to date.  Truly, November weather in the beginning of September isn't so bad when you have company like this girl. The wind actually made the images better- more dramatic and powerful. Jesse also happened to be SO easy to photograph and have a great sense of fashion.  So... enough with the chit-chat, here are a few of the highlights from Jesse's session:
