My eyes and heart were full on Nicole and Michael's wedding day last month. My eyes were enamored with the perfect blend of traditional, vintage Minneapolis coupled with the stylish, modern look and feel of the Radisson Blu. The architecture at both venues was stunning- the clean lines and amazing vistas of the city were the perfect framing for an unbelievable love between a beautiful couple. I couldn't help but think that just as they tied together two era's, two styles for their day so wonderfully, they were bringing together two lives as well. That was the bigger picture- Nicole and Michael, in their kindness, authenticity and sweet love, stood out among the century old buildings and contemporary sky-scrapers.
A novel could be written about their day- from the details to the couple themselves- but some of my favorite aspects were their heart-felt, tear-evoking love letters, their skyway first look, the largest wedding party in my own personal experience, and most of all, the sense of warmth and joy that Nicole and Michael themselves exuded as they ushered in their forever together.
