Class of 2014: Luke

As a mom of two very young little boys, I so appreciate photographing senior guys.  I think of how quickly my sons will be at this stage of life- how fast time truly goes and how much I want to soak up the moments.  Luke was wonderful to work with.  He smiled well, was up for anything and was so calm, cool and collected.  I love people and during this session, I loved getting to know Luke and his mom.  It was such a blessing to be able to document Luke, and his love for all things outdoors and hunting related.  Here is a little look into our session time: 

  

Class of 2014: Amanda

 

Amanda is a beauty and such a sweet senior!  I was in photographer paradise during her session!  A beautiful grad, gorgeous light, autumn colors and a fun location made for one of my favorites!  Add to that a fabulous sense of style and you have an amazing result!  Here is a look into her session:

The Enjoyable Ende Kids: Elk River Children Photographer

 

A photography session with the Ende kids is like hanging out with my own family for two reasons: 1. I have two kids the same age as their two youngest little ones and so their laughter, running around, silly faces, book-reading and chalk-writing is all too familiar to me and 2. This is the third time I have had the sheer joy of photographing these sweet ones in the last year and a half!  I have watched them grow, change and fell in love with their fun personalities and adorable smiles!

Class of 2014: Chelsea

 Another windy Minnesota fall day was upon us- but Chelsea, her mom and I had a blast navigating through Elk River and making sure to capture Chelsea's beautiful, unique and edgy style!  I loved her from the start.  She is kind, thoughtful, smart and knows who she is... to have a combination like that is a rare and wonderful gift!

As if that wasn't enough... her guitar skills are incredible.  Chelsea just it up a few months ago and yet, when I asked her to play something for me, I would have guessed she was a seasoned pro!  Here is a look into this beautiful, blustery session:

Adorable Autumn Newborn Session: Carter

   

 

You would think I couldn't possibly have 'baby fever'.  With a baby boy of my own, not even one year old, how could I?  Bring in a sweet boy who is adorable, wide-eyed and wanting nothing more than to be held and cuddled, and there you have it.  I was hooked within second of meeting him!  

At two and half weeks old, Carter didn't want to miss a thing!  He was ready to look right at me throughout the session and reminded me all over again how precious, beautiful and fleeting this newborn season is.  

It was so good to see Katie & Cody as parents.  I have had the joy of watching them go from engaged to married to new parents in the last year and an half and it has been wonderful!  (Check out their wedding blog post HERE. )  So, here is a look into our session- with an alert, aware and adorable baby Carter:

 Carter is truly an autumn baby. While he didn't want to sleep inside, where there was blankets and a space heater to make sure he was extra comfortable, he fell asleep in the cold fall air, among leaves and pumpkins! What a sweet heart!
